December 1985, Belo Horizonte. On Christmas Eve, after fleeing police brutality, Walkiria—a young trans woman—reconnects with her loyal partner Many at Plumas e Paetês, a failing LGBTQIA+ cabaret. Facing eviction and systemic violence, the duo reluctantly teams up with Pedra Azul, a charismatic and treacherous queer hustler who arrives with fresh cash and dangerous ideas.

Driven by urban legends of a werewolf performer and nights of wild escapism, the nightclub turns into a booming clandestine haven that magically stretches and morphs with every crowd. As their ambition grows, the trio commits the ultimate act of defiance: relocating the underground club into the abandoned basement of the military dictatorship's police headquarters (DOPS). As supernatural transformations take hold of the owners and the authorities close in, Plumas e Paetês unfolds as a magical realism thriller about resistance, chosen family, and the immortal spirit of queer joy.
